Hops are best known for their role in brewing, but they have a long history of use in herbal medicine. Traditionally, hops are used as a mild sedative to promote restful sleep and relaxation. They have also been used to aid digestion, regulate female hormones, for male sexual health and as an alterative, carry away metabolic waste from the body.
Precautions: Avoid use during pregnancy. May cause drowsiness; use caution when operating machinery or taking with other sedatives or anti-depressants.
